Originally called Altarpiece , and often Little Spirit . Cast at Victoria Foundries. Exhibited, along with Holy Man , at “Canadian Religious Art Today”, mounted by Regis College, Toronto, 1966. Except for Dynast , this is Mayhew’s only small column. She wrote “Bronze Model” on the back of a photo, though as the sculpture was cast after Spirit itself (1964), it was not a model for that piece, although perhaps for Coast Spirit (1967).
