Made for Centennial Celebrations in 1967, and exhibited outdoors at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver that summer. In 1968, "Coast Spirit" was sited at the University of Victoria in front of the McPherson Library. Gift of Walter Koerner and the Artist.
"Coast Spirit" is title of the Solarists album, 2008, music written in homage to the sculpture.
